Monday letters: Kelly Hunnewell deserves justice too

July 29, 2013

— The really senseless killing was that of a divorced mother of four right here in Columbia. But people marched from to the federal courthouse instead over a case ruled on by a jury in Florida.

The men who killed Kelly Hunnewell at the bakery didn’t worry about violating her civil rights. They just thought that was where the dough was.

I am tired of the selective outrage. If Al Sharpton were objective, he would be speaking out for justice for Kelly, too.
