Richland deputies seek man in armed robbery

— Deputies are asking for the public’s help to find an armed robbery suspect.

Christian Daniel Ray, 18, is wanted in connection with an armed robbery just after 2 a.m. July 15 on Sterling Cross Drive, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said Monday.

According to reports, the suspect and three others asked the victim for a ride to their homes. While drive on Sterling Cross Drive, the victim was asked to park in a cul de sac, where the suspect pointed a gun at him and forced him out of the car, Lott said.

The suspect took the victim’s wallet, cell phone, a gold mouth grill, driver’s license and other forms of identification, Lott said. The suspect and the three others with him then fled.
