4 charged, pot and weapons seized in raid near Gilbert

— Lexington County authorities raided a home on US 378 near Gilbert Monday looking for a marijuana growing operation, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said late Tuesday night.

Arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of drugs with intent to distribute were three residents of the home: Kenneth Brandon Adams, 28, Jessie Ray Watts, 17, and Billy Joe Blackstone, 31,. of Gilbert; and, An’Drea La’Von Black , 18, of West Columbia.

Investigators seized 20 marijuana plants, three firearms and about four pounds of loose marijuana with an estimated street value of $20K, Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said.

The raid was conducted by the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET).

All four suspects were being held Tuesday night at the Lexington County Detention Center.
