Provost Academy online high school to hold information session Aug. 14

— Provost Academy South Carolina will host an informational session for prospective students and families from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Richland County Public Library, 1431 Assembly St. in downtown Columbia.

Provost Academy South Carolina is an online public charter high school serving students in ninth through 12 grades statewide.

Provost Academy is a state-authorized online public charter high school that is free to South Carolina residents. It serves students in ninth through 12 grades statewide.

The Aug. 14 information session is free and open to the public.

Students enrolled in Provost Academy work toward their regular public high school diploma — recognized by colleges and employers — as they would in a traditional school, but from their own home, using the Internet to connect to the classroom.
