Bombadil at Conundrum

Celebrate the end of summer with the pop-infused harmonies of Bombadil, a North Carolina band whose sound is described as a combination of vintage pop, indie rock and alt/country. The band headlines a show tonight at Conundrum Music Hall in West Columbia. The S.C. Broadcasters, who have appeared with Ralph Stanley, Ricky Scaggs and the Carolina Chocolate Drops, open. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance; $10 at the door 

Quentin Baxter Quartet

Charleston's Quentin Baxter Quartet will perform at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Township Auditorium, 1703 Taylor St., in the last performance of the Summer Sets Jazz Series. Tickets: $5, available at the Township Box Office. (803) 576-2350; www.thetownship.org

Find the latest ideas in home improvement, gardening and landscaping at the annual Home Improvement Show, Friday through Sunday at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. Sponsored by the HBA of Greater Columbia, the show features hundreds of vendors, programs and speakers. Show hours are 1-8 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. www.columbiabuilders.com

Sing-along to ‘Grease’

The Nickelodeon presents a "Grease"; Sing-A-Long at 11 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday at 1607 Main St. The 1978 classic is the latest installment of the National Treasures Film Series. Tickets are: $5.50 members, $9 seniors/students/military, $10 general admission tonight; $5 members, $7 seniors/students/military, $8 general admission on Saturday.
