Police searching for suspect in South Congaree robbery

— The South Congaree Police Department is looking for a man who robbed a CITGO gas station around 3:40 a.m. Aug. 8.

Police say the suspect waved around what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money from the clerk at the store on 709 Main St in South Congaree. He is described as a black male between 5’6” and 5’9” and weighing about 180 pounds. He was wearing white gloves, a black ski mask, white basketball-style shorts with a black stripe, and a white hoodie.
