Man sought after making makes lewd comments & gestures toward Irmo middle school students

August 21, 2013

— Lexington County authorities are looking for a man who allegedly made sexually suggestive motions while talking inappropriately to some female Irmo Middle School students after school Tuesday.

The suspect was seen standing on the perimeter of school grounds at 6051 Westcott Road near Irmo around 3:45 p.m. with his shirt open to his navel and his pants possibly unzipped. He was said to be making inappropriate comments to girls walking toward the nearby Quail Valley Plaza Shopping Center along Westcott Road. Several of the students told the school crossing guard that the suspect tried to expose himself and was touching himself inappropriately.

The crossing guard reported the incident to the school’s resource officer who called the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

The man was described as a white male between the ages of 20 and 30, about 6 feet tall with a thin build and dark hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white, loose-fitting shirt and a blue-and-white baseball cap.

Anyone who has any information about this incident is asked to call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230.
