Pelion woman killed in morning wreck

A Pelion woman was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle accident.

Bobby Jane Cook, 57, was transported to Palmetto Helath Richland, where she died from injuries she received in the crash.

A news release from the Lexington County Coroner’s Office said the accident occurred at about 7 a.m. in the 6900 block of Edmund Highway in Pelion. Cook was driving a 2007 Hyundai when she hit another vehicle. The accident remains under investigation by the coroner’s office and the S.C. Highway Patrol’s multidisciplinary accident investigation team.
