Chapin police looking for suspect in Rite Aid theft

Chapin police are looking for a man who grabbed cash from a Rite Aid at 1401 Chapin Road.

The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. Aug. 22 at the store. Police say the suspect picked up two items and walked to the register to pay for them. When the clerk opened the drawer, the suspect reached over the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing.

The suspect, captured on surveillance video, was wearing a beige or cream colored shirt, blue jeans, and a blue baseball hat.
