August 27, 2013

6-2/205, Pickens (Pickens High)

1. Appears to be the perfect man for the job in the Terriers’ run-happy offense. His forte is accuracy. He was 9-for-12 passing as the Wofford starter in two FCS playoff games this past season.

2. Developed under the guidance of former NFL coaching legend Sam Wyche, who was the quarterback coach at Pickens High.

3. He was a much more prolific passer in high school, ringing up nearly 5,000 career passing yards, 50 touchdown passes and 16 scoring runs in four seasons on the Blue Flame varsity team.

4. His father, Marion, played football at Furman.

5. Despite not playing in his first two years at Wofford, he did not let down in the classroom. He has earned three straight Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll spots.
