An employee shot Thursday night as he carried trash to a dumpster behind a Garners Ferry Road convenience store has been released from the hospital.

Curtis Wilson, a spokesman for the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, also said deputies are looking for up to six men who approached the victim, possibly in two vehicles.

The victim was shot in the upper body just before 11 p.m. Thursday at the BP station at 8000 Garners Ferry Road, Wilson said. He was taken to Palmetto Health Richland.

Anyone with information should call 1-800-CRIMESC.
