1 person killed in Richland County wreck

— One person was killed in a car accident Sunday night in Richland County.

The S.C. Highway Patrol reports the driver of a 2004 GMC Yukon was traveling west on Lee Road at about 11:20 p.m. when the car ran off the right side of the road, lost control and then went off the left side of the road before hitting a sign and overturning. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has not yet identified the victim.
