One injured in Richland County club shooting early Saturday

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC One man was injured in an early morning shooting at a nightclub in the St. Andrews area of Richland County.

He was being treated at Lexington Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Sheriff’s Department spokesman Deputy Curtis Wilson.

Wilson said five people were standing in the parking lot near the Exclusive Bar and Grill at 1004 Zimalcrest Drive at about 4 a.m. when a male suspect in an older-model red Ford Taurus approached and shot multiple times at the victims and their vehicles.

The man who was injured was shot in the upper body, Wilson said. The other four people were not hurt.

Deputies are investigating.
