KURT STRAZDINS — KRT

— My sympathies go out to the many hard-working farmers who have been so badly hammered by an exceptionally wet summer. However, it seems quite hypocritical of our tea party governor and these highly conservative farmers to expect the hated feds to bail them out when the floods come.

Maybe this would be the time to use the aptly-named rainy day fund, except that our Legislature has cut taxes so much the state probably can’t afford to help the farmers out. They planted the garden; they reap the harvest.
