After an easy day at the office against S.C. State over the weekend, Clemson quarterback Tajh Bord stayed atop The State’s weekly Heisman Trophy poll.

Playing less than a half in the 52-13 win, Boyd threw for 169 yards and scored one touchdown on the ground to maintain his lead over Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater among the 13 Heisman voters polled each week.

USC defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, the poll’s preseason leader, fell from fifth to seventh after recording his first sack of the season in a loss to Georgia.

The Bulldogs’ attack was led by tailback Todd Gurley, who moved up to No. 3 after rushing for 134 yards and a touchdown.
