OK, so I will admit up front that I am ripping off this idea.
I was tracking down some information for something or other when I ran across a link at eatocracy.cnn.com. It is all about the beauty of a well-organized pantry (or entire kitchen); I spent more than a few moments gazing at the photographs of the three featured kitchens.
Spotless, white-on-white kitchens.
Here at The State, we did a series a few years ago featuring beautiful designer kitchens. Gorgeous finishes, top-of-the-line appliances – you get the idea.
With all of this spinning around in my brain (and add the fact that my sister just completed a full kitchen remodel), I started to think – Why not show off MY kitchen?
I mean, my kitchen is (literally) the center of my home. I use the kitchen door as the “front” door, all of my friends come in go through my kitchen.
My kitchen is, at the end of the day, a reflection of me and how (dis)organized I am on a given day ... quirky ... relaxed ... at home.
For all the world to see – here is my kitchen.
