Dutch Fork (2-0) vs. Rock Hill (1-1)

Site: DF Stadium. Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Game notes: The potent Dutch Fork attack stayed in high gear last week against Fort Mill. QB Derek Olenchuk was 15-for-20 passing for 272 yards and four touchdowns. RB Matt Colburn had 153 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 22 carries and caught two passes for 79 yards and one TD. Austin Ruger had five catches for 70 yards and one score, and Julian Heyward had two catches – both for touchdowns – for 26 yards … Rock Hill rebounded from a tough season-opening loss to Dorman with a 35-13 win over Conway.

Series history: DF pulled out a wild, 49-42 win last year in the first meeting of the teams.

Greenwood (1-1) vs. Irmo (0-2)

Site: Pinky Babb Stadium. Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Game notes: Irmo hopes to avoid a 0-3 start for the third consecutive season. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a bye week. So far, QB Demetrius Lewis is 25-for-57 passing for 402 yards and one touchdown. RB Shyheim Copeland has 128 yards and one TD on 28 carries. Receivers De’ares Nelson (8-131-1), Manny Banks (7-100-0) and Brandy Holmes (6-101-1) have been Irmo’s big-play guys. On defense, Andrew Boyton has earned attention for 11 tackles, four TFL and three sacks … Greenwood’s 16-gane winning streak came to an end last week in a 21-7 loss to Dorman. The defending Class 4A Division II champion Eagles are led by QB Thomas Turner, WB Octavious Morgan and versatile Kaleb Chalmers and LB Temoris Coates.

Series history: Irmo won the first five clashes between 1975 and 1984, but Greenwood is 11-0 against the Jackets since 1985. The Eagles posted a 21-0 win last season.

Carolina Forest (0-3) vs. White Knoll (3-0)

Site: . Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Game notes: The Timberwolves are off to a great start under first-year coach dean Howell and the fun is expected to continue at least for one more week. To date, Quin Jones (48-342-2) and E’Mond Brown (36-274-2) have handled the running game. QB Craig Blakey is 14-for-24 passing for 258 yards and two touchdowns with 109 yards and three TDs by land. Calev Grubbs (6-83-1) has emerged as the top receiver and a capable punter. On defense, Jordan LeMay ahs 35 tackles, six TFL, one sack, two pressures, one fumble recovery, one blocked kick and one safety on the books … Carolina Forest has also allowed 148 points with an average yield of 49.3 points per game.

Series history: WK breezed to a 49-16 win in the first meeting of the teams last season.

Ridge View (1-1) vs. Fort Mill (1-1)

Site: Blythewood District 2 Stadium. Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Game notes: Ridge View evened the slate with a 29-0 win over Lancaster. QB Terrell Fetterson was 8-for-17 passing for 168 yards and one touchdown. RB Walter Napper ran for 131 yards and one TD on 29 carries. WR Okechi Ntiasagwe had five catches for 122 yards and one TD. The defense pitched a shutout behind LB Raheem Miller is rang up 11 total tackles, five TFL, two sacks and an interception return touchdown … Fort Mill crushed Lugoff-Elgin in Week 1 and was crush by Dutch Fork last week.

Series history: Fort Mill’s 26-24 win a year ago cut the Blazers series lead to 4-3.

Lugoff-Elgin (0-2) vs. West Florence (0-2)

Site: L-E Stadium. Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Game notes: Lugoff-Elgin has its best shot to end a long losing streak against another struggling team. The Demons suffered their 19th consecutive loss last week – 45-14 to Nation Ford. Shon Belton returned to quarterback and was 9-for-27 passing for 120 yards and one touchdown and ran for 146 yards and one TD on 22 carries. Daniel Quattlebaum caught six passes for 104 yards … West Florence suffered a 42-21 loss last week against Myrtle Beach.

Series history: West Florence has won two in a row in increase its series lead to 8-3.

Daniel (2-0) vs. Columbia (1-2)

Site: Singleton Stadium. Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Game notes: The Class 3A top-ranked Lions are coming off a 36-28 win over Greenville. The Lions return eight defensive starters and all-state RB Jae’lon Oglesby from a 12-2 team … Columbia is fresh from a 41-7 loss to Dreher.

Series history: Daniel whipped the Capitals 41-0 in the first meeting of the teams in 29 years.

Fairfield Central (2-0) vs. Chester (1-2)

Site: E.K. McClendon Stadium. Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Game notes: Second-ranked Fairfield Central crushed visiting Abbeville, 42-6. Dendre Belton was 5-for-10 passing for 82 yards and two touchdowns and had 49 yards rushing. RB Larry G. Bell had 86 yards and one TD on 12 carries. Javaris Cook and Tyren White had scoring catches. DL Khalil Keitt had a big game on defense with nine tackles, four TFL and one sack. Compton Walker was 6-for-6 in PAT kicks and averaged 42.0 yards on three punts. It was, as they say, a total team effort … Chester has had a tough schedule with loss against two strong 4A teams – South Pointe and York.

Series history: FC has won four in a row to up its series lead to 16-6.

Strom Thurmond (2-0) vs. Batesburg-Leesville (1-1)

Site: Strom Thurmond Stadium. Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Game notes: B-L let one get away last week at Brookland-Cayce. The Panthers gave up the winning touchdown in a 44-37 loss with just 23 seconds left in the game. QB Jac Chandler had two scoring runs and two scoring passes. Rickie Smith ran for 118 yards and one touchdown as B-L rumbled for 248 yards on the ground. Still, it wasn’t enough … Strom Thurmond returned to action after a bye week to defeat Saluda, 28-20. It was the 11th straight regular season win for the Rebels.

Series history: B-L still owns a 22-17 series lead since 1970 but Strom Thurmond has dominated of late – winning six in a row and nine of the last 10 games.

Calhoun County (0-2) vs. Keenan (2-1)

Site: Calhoun County Stadium. Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Game notes: Keenan rolled to a 35-5 win over traditional rival C.A. Johnson. QB Deion Trezavant was 7-for-12 passing for 204 yards and two touchdowns. Peter Easaw had 148 yards rushing on 18 carries and caught two passes for 55 yards and one TD. WR Kendrick Gathers grabbed three passes for 126 yards and two scores and also ran for 42 yards and one TD on eight totes … Calhoun County is off to a slow start under long-time Midlands coach Bill Kimrey. The slumping Saints, who have yet to score in 2013, have lost eight in a row and 14 of their last 15 since late in the 2011 season.

Series history: Keenan’s 36-21 win last year was the first in three tries against the Saints from St. Matthews.
