Thursday letters: President Obama is in over his head

Obama First President Bush

CAROLYN KASTER — AP

During his short stopover in Stockholm on his way to another G-whatever all-you-can-eat buffet, President Obama made a hollow and slick little boast about how he doubled our wind and solar production capacities, as a monumental step in solving the non-existent global climate crisis.

Hollow in that one must take into consideration that for more than 20 years, wind and solar energy projects and farms have produced a meager 0.7 percent of our nation’s total energy requirements. So in the five years he’s spent as our president, he managed to double the output to a whopping 1.4 percent?

America had better start asking loud and long just how wasting five years, not to mention our non-existent finances, on these monumental green fiascos is even going to come close to meeting current energy shortfalls.

By now it should be more than obvious to Americans, as it is to the rest of the world, that Barack Obama is under-performing in a job that is way beyond his pay grade.
