Man found dead on roadside identified

— A man found on the side of the road died from complications from a gunshot wound to his upper body, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Friday.

Samuel Clemons, 37, was found by a passerby near the intersection of Center and McFadden streets about 8 a.m. Thursday.

Police are investigating his death.
