— A 24-year-old Hartsville woman was charged in the Thursday school bus crash that sent 13 to the hospital.

Amber N. Huff was charged with driving too fast for conditions, according to Lance Cpl. Billy Elder with the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Huff crashed her 1996 Volkswagon into a stopped minivan, which then crashed into the Kershaw County School district bus at about 3 p.m. Thursday, Elder said.

Huff, a 3-year-old girl in her vehicle, the 50-year-old Lugoff driver of the minivan and 10 children on the school bus were transported to a local hospital. The bus was carrying 54 children from Wateree Elementary School.
