Years ago, we could see the marching bands perform during halftime of college football games. Most schools put a lot of money and time into this program, and the bands give a really great show.

Today at halftime, all we see on TV is commentators telling us what we have just seen and commercials played over and over.

I have a grandson in the band at Irmo High School. Those students work many hours a day for weeks to prepare for the upcoming season. I am sure it is much more for the college bands. We need to go back to the good old days; give us the bands.
