— One person has been arrested and another is sought in the August robbery of the Blythewood Stop and Shop.

Troy Belton, 19, was arrested Wednesday and charged with burglary, larceny and possession of burglary tools, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Leon Lott said the arrest was made following a tip from Crimestoppers.

Another suspect is still at large, Lott said.

The store at 10447 Wilson Boulevard, Columbia, was broken into just after 3:30 a.m. Aug. 8 by thieves breaking the window of the front door. Video surveillance showed the suspects stole an undetermined number of S.C. Education Lottery tickets.

Belton, who is also being held by the Camden Police Department for other crimes, was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Anyone with information on the identity of the second suspect or information about this crime should call, email or text anonymous tips to 888-CRIME-SC
