Road-widening work in I-20 to affect weekend traffic

— From 9 p.m. Friday through Monday morning, detours and road closures will be in place on eastbound Interstate - 20 in Richland County as road widening work continues.

Friday night until 8 a.m. Saturday morning, one lane of eastbound I-20 will be closed between I-77 and Clemson Road. Drivers heading east will not be able to get onto or off of I-20 between the I-77/Alpine Road on ramp and the Clemson Road off ramp. Drivers will be directed to a Percival Road detour.

The segment of Alpine Road running under I-20 will be closed to traffic during evening an overnight hours over the weekend.

Sunday night starting at 7p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday, the Spears Creek Church Road exit from eastbound I-20 will be closed.
