Monday letters: Freeman a guiding light

September 23, 2013

— For those of you who don’t know Mr. Freeman, let me tell you about him. He is, without a doubt, one of the finest men I have ever known. Not only is he a brilliant man, but to South Carolina lawyers, he is a guiding light.

Any lawyer who needs advice on the law or the ethical standard that should be followed only has to call John.

Not only is he a lawyer’s lawyer, but a man whose advice should be followed. I personally have known John and depended on his knowledge of the law for over 40 years. His knowledge of the law and his common sense have seldom been seen.

Live long, John, my friend. We lawyers need you and the citizens of South Carolina need you.
