Richland deputies seek suspect in building supply burglary

Richland County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the suspect in the burglary of a business that has had multiple break-ins.

Sheriff Leon Lott said between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 21 and 2:40 a.m. Aug. 22, deputies responded to a burglary at Stock Building Supplies, 200 Flintlake Road. The suspect, who gained entry to the property through the railroad access, took treated lumber, plywood, and a barbeque grill with a total estimated value of $1,000.

The business has been burglarized multiple times since Aug. 20, and Lott said and the crimes may be related.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video driving an older model Dodge Ram with a broken rear window, taped up drivers side tail light, and a brushgard on the front of the truck.
