Lexington man faces meth charges

— A 38-year-old Lexington man faces charges in connection with an alleged meth lab found in a Two Notch Road home.

Deandre Malcolm Black, 38, of YMCA Road, was arrested Monday by Lexington County Sheriff’s deputies and officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team, according to a news release. Black has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. Deputies also detained him on a family court bench warrant for failure to pay child support in Greenville County.

According to deputies, at about 10:23 p.m. Monday, deputies when to a home in the 1300 block of Two Notch Road near Lexington after being tipped to a possible meth lab at the residence. The suspect was seen placing an object in a black bag while standing on a porch, deputies said, and then he fled. He was found in the woods off Concrete Road and charged later, after officers confirmed materials found at the residence were being used to manufacture meth.

Black was being held at the Lexingotn County Detention Center Tuesday, awaiting a bond hearing.
