Chesson Hadley carded a 4-under 66 on Friday to grab a 2-stroke lead following two rounds of the Web.com Tour Championship.

Hadley, who claimed his first career tour victory at the Rex Hospital Open earlier this year, finished 36 holes on the Dye's Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass at 9-under-par 131.

Joe Durant shot 3-under 67 to move into sole possession of second place at 7- under 133, while Aron Price (65) and Andrew Svoboda (67) shared third at 6- under.

Andrew Putnam (67), Jhonattan Vegas (69), Mark Anderson (71) and Scott Gardiner (68) occupied fifth at minus-5.

Durant, Price, Putnam and Vegas all currently sit outside the top 25 of the Web.com Tour's playoff money list and will need to continue their strong play to secure a PGA Tour card for the 2013-14 season.

First-round leader Ashley Hall tripped to a 6-over 76 during his second round to fall into a share of 35th place at 1-under 139.
