Man accused of Hopkins home break-in

An 18-year man faces charges in connection with a break-in at a Lower Richland home, Richland County deputies say.

Sterling Thomas is in custody for alleged burglary of a home in the 900 block of Farnsworth Drive in the Hopkins area, deputies said. The break-in occurred about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, deputies said.

Deputies found Thomas with unspecified items taken from the home following a search of the area, sheriff’s spokesman Curtis Wilson said.
