Chesson Hadley dropped three strokes in the last two holes Saturday to hand Scott Gardiner the third-round lead at the Tour Championship.

Gardiner carded a 5-under 65 in round three to end 54-holes at 10-under-par 200. The Australian will go for his second tour win on Sunday.

Hadley's late struggles closed a round of even-par 70. He was joined in second place at minus-9 by Joe Durant (68) on the Dye's Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass.

Andrew Putnam is alone in fourth at 8-under 202 after his second straight 67. Jamie Lovemark fired a 66 to move into fifth place at minus-7.

Bud Cauley (65) matched Gardiner for low round of the day and that helped Cauley climb into a tie for sixth. He was joined at 6-under 204 by Rod Pampling (68) and Russell Knox (68).

The top 25 on the Tour already received their PGA Tour cards for the 2013-14 season, and the top 25 eligible players on the Finals Series money list will also gain their PGA Tour cards for next season after this event.
