Spring Valley Vikings slip past South Aiken

Running back John Miller was limited to 83 yards on 15 carries, but he posted two touchdowns to help lift Spring Valley past South Aiken, 28-16 on Friday night at Harry Parone Stadium.

Chris Adams added 11 rushes for 112 yards and completed four passes for two touchdowns for the Vikings (5-0). Spring Valley travels to White Knoll next week.

At Barnwell, Clay Lucas completed 8 of 11 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown, and Chance Walker added 148 yards and two touchdowns rushing to lift the Tigers.

Swansea’s Craig Johnson added a touchdown rushing and receiving.

Ty Jeffcoat had a fumble recovery and 25-yard return for a touchdown. The Tigers (3-2) travel to Airport next.

At Chapin, Matt Charpia passed for 124 yards and two touchdowns and added 35 yards and a touchdown rushing to pace Chapin (2-3).

At Lugoff, Quin Jones scored two touchdowns and had 90 yards rushing as White Knoll (5-0) rallied in the fourth quarter. Timberwolves quarterback Craig Blakey was 10-of-14 passing for 160 yards.

Shaun Belton scored two touchdowns to give the Demons a first-half lead, but Lugoff fell to 0-5 as its offense settled for two Andrew Place field goals in the second half.
