2nd man arrested in Lexington County ATV theft

LEXINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

— A second man has been arrested in the August theft of an ATV from a home near Swansea.

Robert Daniel Davis Jr., 51, of Swansea was arrested Monday and charged with grand larceny.

According to a release from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, the arrest warrant says David and Gene Carroll Rutland Jr. stole on Aug. 28 a 2013 CF Moto X-500 all-terrain vehicle from a home near Davis'. The vehicle was worth about $5,000.

Rutland, 31, of West Columbia was arrested Sept. 20. He faces charges on the theft of two ATVs, a golf cart, a fishing boat, a chainsaw, a video camera, farm equipment and scrap metal worth a combined total of more than $25,000 between May 21 and Sept. 5.
