I-20 near Columbia cleared after Tuesday morning crash delay

— I-20 eastbound into Columbia is back up and running again after a three-car crash around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, a S.C. Highway Patrol spokesman said Tuesday shortly after 10 a.m.

The crash, in which there were apparently no serious injuries, caused delays for drivers heading into the capital city on their morning commute.

The incident happened near mile marker 57,

According to the Highway Patrol, the incident happened in the eastbound lanes around 8:30 a.m. near mile marker 57, about six miles west of I-26 and just south of Lexington.

Traffic backed up for miles until the wrecks were cleared.
