LEXINGTON COUNTY Detectives are seeking two women they believe were involved in stealing a tray of silver utensils from a St. Andrews Road store.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department says about $2,600 of silver was stolen from the St. Andrews Silver Center at 736-I St. Andrews Road near Irmo at about 2:30 p.m. Sept. 23.

A witness told deputies that the two women — one possibly in her 30s and the other possibly in her 50s, entered the business together along with a small child.

Metts asked anyone with information about the theft of the silver utensils or the two women who were involved in the theft of the utensils to contact the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Citizens also can provide information anonymously by accessing the Crime Tip link on the Sheriff’s Department web site (www.lexingtonsheriff.com).
