VIDEO & PHOTOS: Local law enforcement trains against ‘active shooter’

The West Columbia Police Department hosted a training class Tuesday to teach officers how to respond to a scene where there is a person shooting a gun. Officers from the Columbia, Cayce, and Springdale also attended the ‘active shooter’ training. They used simulated ammunition, called ‘simunition,’ in live scenarios in a former school building in Cayce.
