Friday is final day for in-person voter registration in Richland, Lexington counties

Friday is the last day to register to vote in-person in Nov. 5 elections in Lexington and Richland counties.

Those 18 and older can register at election offices in Lexington County at 605 W. Main St., Lexington, and in Richland County at 2020 Hampton St., Columbia. Both are open 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Saturday is the deadline for online, fax or mail-in registation.

Forms can be downloaded at www.scvotes.org, then must be faxed, emailed or mailed back to county voter registration offices.

Mail-in registration forms must be postmarked by Oct. 5.

In-person or by mail requires a current valid photo ID or another proof of residence, such as a utility bill. Online registration requires a driver’s license or other DMV-issued identification.
