Man flagging down female drivers in Newberry Co.

— Twice in the past week, female drivers in Newberry County have been urged by a male driver to pull over..

Both times, the women were signaled that they had flat tires, but the vehicles were fine. Now, the Newberry County Sheriff’s Department is searching for suspects and asking for your help.

The first incident took place a week ago on SC 219 with a suspect driving a white vehicle. The second incident occurred Thursday on Adelaide Street with a male driver in a dark-colored vehicle.

In neither case was the woman harmed. And no make or model of vehicle has been reported.

If you have any information about this suspect, contact the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office at (803) 321-2222 immediately.

If you encounter such an experience, please call 911 immediately. It is imperative that law enforcement know about this activity while there is still time to react and possibly locate the suspect, according to a press release from the sheriff’s department.
