Budget Battle Cruz

J. SCOTT APPLEWHITE — AP

No wonder D.C. Democrats and Republicans are afraid of Ted Cruz. Princeton debating champion. Matriculated to Harvard and graduated magna cum laude. U.S. Supreme Court clerk. University of Texas adjunct professor teaching Supreme Court litigation, Texas Solicitor General (first Hispanic and also the longest tenure in Texas history) and attorney general (first Hispanic in Texas). Sen. Cruz is not only the first Hispanic senator for Texas; he’s intelligent, moral, obviously accomplished and extremely articulate.

Hour after hour, Mr. Cruz delineated why Obamacare is a disaster for America.

Nancy Pelosi said Obamacare needed to be passed “so we can find out what is in it.” Thanks to Ted Cruz — now we know.

Congress exempted themselves, the IRS and other federal workers. But Democrats want to once again ram this down our throats. I’m with Cruz. Enough.

Lindsey Graham? Missing again.
