Wednesday letters: DeMarco clearly on patients’ side

October 9, 2013

— I was moved when I read Dr. Paul DeMarco’s guest column Sunday in which he advocated for his patients. He argued that the best thing for uninsured South Carolinians is for our state leaders to accept the federal money that would enable us to expand Medicaid for our most vulnerable citizens.

It is clear that his agenda has more to do with the Hippocratic Oath than with politics. I hope others will speak out with the same clarity and conviction.
