Wednesday letters: Why were city police in parade?

October 9, 2013

— Really. Officers of the Columbia Police Department were ordered to march in the gay pride parade?

I may not be as liberal these days as some people would require, but whatever the reason was for having uniformed officers march seems to be a bit much. Then to have City Hall intervene just continues to create a scene of uncontrolled supervision. What a joke again.
