CAYCE, SC Cayce police and FBI agents continued Wednesday to investigate a bank robbery at BB&T.

The robber, who held up the BB&T at 2600 Charleston Highway shortly after noon Tuesday, was believed to have fled on foot.

“He gave the teller a note demanding money,” said Cayce police spokesman Jeff Simmons.

”He was polite – he said he hated to do it, but he had to do it for the money.”

Dozens of officers turned out to try to catch the skinny robber who wore glasses and was wearing a kind of religious hat.

The Lexington County sheriff’s department provided tracking dogs and a helicopter.
