Thursday letters: All must follow rules of the road

October 10, 2013

I was reminded of this recently as I viewed an incident on TV involving an SUV and a group of motorcyclists in New York.

Emotions took over, so there would be no happy ending. Some individuals lost their cool and made everybody who chooses to drive a motorcycle look bad, even though the driver in the SUV might have let road rage take over and escalate this incident.

The vehicles are not responsible for what happens. we as motorists are. Whatever we choose to drive, we need to act responsibly, be courteous and patient and follow the rules of the road.
