Chapin rallies past A.C. Flora

— Matt Charpia completed 9-of-15 passes for 143 yards and touchdown and also rushed for a score to lead Chapin to a 19-18 victory against A.C. Flora on Friday night.

Aven Pollard rushed 21 times for 217 yards and a touchdown for the Falcons (4-3, 0-2).

Chapin (4-3, 2-0) visits Lower Richland next week.

At Lugoff, Shon Belton led the Demons with 20 rushes for 175 yards and a touchdown and completed 8-of-13 passes with two touchdowns. Emmonti Payne posted a touchdown rushing and one receiving, and Andrew Place added a 31-yard field goal.

Richland Northeast (0-7, 0-1) posted 223 yards of offense in the effort.

Lugoff-Elgin (1-6, 1-0) travels to Ridge View next.

At North Central, Irvin Green scored two touchdowns to lead the Panthers (4-3, 2-0).

At Batesburg, Terrance Wilson posted eight rushes for 154 yards and two catches for 50 yards and totaled three touchdowns to lead the Panthers (5-2, 2-0).

Rod Johnson posted nine carries for 56 yards and quarterback Hunter Watson completed 20 passes for 80 yards for Ninety Six.

The Panthers host Mid-Carolina next, and Ninety Six (5-2, 1-1) hosts Newberry.

Dantez Bennamon completed six passes for 152 yards, and cornerback Omar McRae added a 20-yard interception return for a touchdown for the Gators.

Williams Brunson had two touchdown passes for Carolina Forest.
