WHITE KNOLL HIGH SCHOOL student Phylisha Mace has been named a 2014 National Achievement Outstanding Participant.

LEXINGTON HIGH SCHOOL student Aubrey Thompson has been named a 2014 National Achievement Scholarship Semifinalist.

LEXINGTON 1 students named as 2014 National Merit Scholarship Commended Students are: Tyler Watson (Gilbert High School); Sydney Boykin, James Brittingham, Lauren Feder, Daniel Hoppe, Stanley McAfee, Michael Mosner, Connor Rouillard and Jenna Smith (Lexington High School); Jeremy Williams (Pelion High School); Alexander Bedenbaugh (White Knoll High School). Students named as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists are: Brian Farchione, Katherine Fleck, Annie Hu, Angella Jiang and Vikram Krishnamurthy (Lexington High School); Freddy Huang (River Bluff High School); Alexandra Cordes and Trayton Miller (White Knoll High School).

RICHLAND NORTHEAST HIGH SCHOOL’S Junior Officer Reserve Training Corps has been promoted from a company to a battalion. Trevon Carter-Josey has been promoted to Battalion Commander and received the rank of Cadet Commander, and Kalvin Martinez has been promoted to Master Chief of the unit.
