Starting Monday, Columbia and Richland County voters have two weeks to cast absentee ballots at new satellite locations.

The sites are:

• St. Andrews Park, 920 Beatty Road in Irmo

• Richland County Administration Building, 2020 Hampton St. in Columbia

• Adult Activity Center, 7494 Parklane Road in Columbia.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Nov. 1.

The Nov. 5 ballot includes a race for Columbia mayor and three City Council seats, as well as a countywide referendum to raise property taxes to expand libraries.

The municipalities of Arcadia Lakes and Blythewood are holding elections, too.

Arcadia Lakes voters are not eligible to use the satellite locations because the town holds its own elections, Richland County elections director Howard Jackson said Monday. They may cast absentee ballots in person at the elections office, 2020 Hampton St., but not the two other sites.

For more information on absentee voting, call the Richland County Elections & Voter Registration Office at (803) 576-2240.
