— A 43-year-old man was arrested Thursday, charged with a recent break-in at a Decker Boulevard business.

Tyrone Smith was charged with attempted burglary by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

The Food Mart II at 2220 Decker Boulevard was broken into at about 12:45 a.m. Thursday. The store alarm was tripped when a suspect broke the front glass door. The suspect then fled on foot.

Sheriff Leon Lott said surveillance equipment helped investigators identify Smith. Witnesses and victims were interviewed, and Smith turned himself in to Richland County Sheriff’s Department headquarters.
