— An ant infestation has forced Richland One to cancel Tuesday classes at Bradley Elementary School.

Richland One Superintendent Percy Mack announced the closures on Monday afternoon.

“Our Maintenance Services department is working with a pest control company to get rid of the ants. Canceling school Tuesday will allow them to do additional and more extensive treatments with no students on campus,” he said in a news release.

Mack said the situation will be reassessed following treatments and a decision about future closures will be made then.

All after-school programs at Bradley, including the comprehensive remediation and child care programs, also have been canceled for Tuesday. Parents should make other arrangements for their children.
