Tuesday letters: Parents must do a better job

— I agree that Circuit Judge Maite Murphy followed the law in granting immunity to Shannon Scott in the shooting death of a bystander. What I don’t agree with is that a young man’s life has been snuffed out. Why was Mr. Scott’s 15-year-old daughter out until 1:30 a.m. at a nightclub? Parents, stop being a friend and be a parent.
