Authorities investigating murder-suicide in Saluda County

October 22, 2013

— The Saluda County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide, said Chief Deputy Chris Cockrell.

Deputies were called Sunday evening to residence on Berry Drive in Saluda where they discovered a male and female, who were deceased, Cockrell said.

The two were in their early to mid-60s and lived at the residence, he said.

SLED was called to process the scene, and an investigation is ongoing to verify the cause of death, Cockrell said.
