— A Batesburg-Leesville resident was killed Wednesday morning in a three-vehicle crash near Lexington High School.

Mark Joseph Cullinane, 51, was killed in the crash, according to Lexington County Coroner Harry Harmon.

Lance Cpl. David Jones with the S.C. Highway Patrol said Cullinane was wearing a seatbelt and was driving a 1992 truck. He was trapped inside the vehicle, extricated and flown to Palmetto Health Richland, where he died.

The other two vehicles were also trucks, one driven by a 21-year-old North Augusta resident and the other by a 17-year-old. Neither was injured.

The crash occurred shortly after 10 a.m. on Pisgah Church Road, near the intersection with U.S. 1, according to the Highway Patrol website.
