Beer education, boonanza and Columbia Baroque soloists

Thursday

Beer session

Marshall White, assistant manager at Baan Swan Thai Bistro, Morganelli’s wine and beer consultant and general beer enthusiast will discuss how to navigate the evolving modern beer scene, in “It’s Not The Beer You Grew Up With,” 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday at the Lourie Center, 1650 Park Circle (Maxcy Gregg Park). Boonanza

Saturday

Columbia Baroque soloists

The women of the Baroque Soloists will perform music of five women composers of 17th and 18th century Italy and France. “Composing Women” concert, 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Concert Hall of Spears Fine Arts Center, Columbia College, 1301 Columbia College Drive.
